The following is a message from Benny:
mystery miles fun run on Sunday mornings. emphasis is on fun and no expectations for anything but a moving tan (hopefully…wear sunscreen). start at soundrunner at 7 a.m. with options to run around (individually) at OS point for a 4 miler, at maple avenue for a 6.5ish miler, old boston post rd for an 8.5ish miler or sticking to the end for a ? miler(at least 2 to 4 extra miles). water at the point, at knollwood and at the town beach. pace is slow and steady (conversational) with emphasis on enjoying the morning while getting in a good (or great) run. hope to see more people this week. benny

We are now running on the same days in all 3 stores:
Wednesday-630 p.m.
Saturday-8:00 a.m.
As always times and distance vary.
P.S. Please come out…if you think you’re too slow…you are wrong…it’s all about the social experience…right now anyway!

I had not expected to run in Madison tonight, but there I was with an audience…newbies!
Actually, it was really great. Bill a radiologist with New Haven Radiology Associates (I hope that’s the right practice) who just moved with his wife Rebeccca and three children (baby daughter almost 2 and two boys 4 and 6) from Milford. Jill, a Hopkin’s High School senior…she thinks she wants to go to Barnard…what a very cool young woman.
I know that we have recently changed our running nights in Madison…I hope that everyone will try and come out on Wednesday’s too. All of you would have loved tonight…not too cold.
I‘ll be in Branford for the run this Saturday at 8 a.m. I hope you will all come out on Saturday for the run and then stay for the nutrition talk presented by Meg Moran, RD.

Here’s my lineup for the next few days:
Thursday, New Year’s Eve: OS. I need to change the window…New Year, New You! Thanks to Denise for that.
Friday, New Year’s Day: Frosty 5 K. I plan on running it, if it;s not too yucky! The pump doesn’t like the wetness!
Saturday, Jan 2: Run in OS. I plan to be at the store at 8 a.m. for a run…as we do every weekend. I think Tracy said she will join me…come out, come out!
Up till Saturday is all I can commit to.
Belinda…I know you’re reading this…please come out!

Okay…I’ll be running in OS on Saturday morning at 8 a.m. I hope we get a big turnout…I don’t want to be the only one enjoying the cold, crisp morning! Kat will be running with me…
Don’t forget, the Old Saybrook parade is on for Saturday Night…If it’s anything like the Stroll last week it will be a blast!

Every year soundRUNNER has a special night set aside for runners to enjoy and mingle. First we run…play games (go to the cemetary and find names on tombstones), sing (in the rotunda at the Blackstone Library), armpit farts (teams either answered the “running” question, get it right, or take the consequence…Carol Dillon had the best tone).
Our Runner’s Night this year is in the Branford Store at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday Night, December 16…be there or be square.
You won’t want to miss the 5th annual…Jesse and Gretchen have lots planned.

I’ll be in OS for the Saturday, 8 a.m. run. It is sure to be a wonderful morning to run…if we go 6 (or so) we can go down Maple to Great Hammock and then come back along the “Causeway.” Slow and easy of course…there’s a soundRUNNER Madison Jaycees Turkey Trot to be run next Thursday. Don’t forget to sign up at any of our soundRUNNER locations.
